PATTERNMED PRACTITIONER TRAINING
A 20-Week Clinical Training Program for Practitioners Managing Complex Hormone and Fertility Cases
Learn how to identify the patterns behind complex presentations, interpret clinical information more confidently and develop more individualized treatment strategies.
Developed and taught by Dr. Colin La Grange, founder of PatternMed.
The Fertility Codex 1 is a foundational training program designed to help practitioners better understand the physiology, pathology, and underlying patterns involved in hormone and fertility dysfunction. Through the PatternMed framework, practitioners are guided through a more structured approach to interpreting reproductive cases beyond standard protocol-based thinking.

The Fertility Codex Level 1 is designed for qualified practitioners who want to strengthen their understanding of fertility, reproductive health and the wider physiological patterns that may influence a patient’s presentation.
The program may be suitable for practitioners who want to:
Build a stronger foundation in reproductive anatomy, physiology and endocrinology.
Better understand common reproductive pathologies and their clinical presentation.
Interpret medical diagnostics within the wider context of the patient’s symptoms and history.
Understand the role of conventional treatments and assisted reproductive technologies.
Integrate holistic assessment, diet and lifestyle considerations into their clinical reasoning.
Develop a more structured and repeatable approach to fertility cases.
Improve their confidence when discussing complex fertility presentations with patients.
Experience Level
The program is intended for practitioners who already hold an appropriate health or clinical qualification and will apply the training within their professional scope of practice.
Practitioners who are newer to fertility-focused work may benefit from the Level 1 curriculum because it covers foundational areas including anatomy, physiology, endocrinology, reproductive pathology and diagnostics.
It may also support more experienced practitioners who want to organise their existing knowledge into a clearer, pattern-based clinical framework.
Inside the course, clinicians will learn how to recognize reproductive patterns, interpret complex hormone presentations with greater clarity, and understand the deeper mechanisms driving infertility and endocrine dysfunction. The training also introduces practical clinical frameworks that can help practitioners move away from guesswork and toward more precise, individualized treatment strategies.
Fertility Codex 1 is especially valuable for practitioners who feel overwhelmed by inconsistent hormone labs, unclear fertility cases, or treatment approaches that fail to address the root cause. By learning to identify patterns instead of simply chasing symptoms, practitioners can develop greater confidence in clinical decision-making, improve patient communication, and create more predictable outcomes in practice.
Explore Whether the Fertility Codex Fits Your Practice
Discuss your clinical experience, learning goals and the types of fertility cases you currently manage. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the curriculum and determine whether the training is appropriate for you.

Strengthen your understanding of reproductive structures, their functions and how the reproductive system operates across different stages of the fertility journey.

Build a clearer understanding of endocrine function and the hormones involved in reproductive health and fertility.

Learn to recognise and understand reproductive pathologies within an appropriate clinical and medical context.

Develop a more organised approach to reviewing medical diagnostics alongside the patient’s symptoms, history and wider presentation.

Improve your understanding of allopathic medicine and how conventional fertility treatments may form part of a patient’s broader healthcare journey.

Develop a clearer understanding of assisted reproductive technology and the role it may play in fertility care.

Explore how diet and lifestyle factors may be considered as part of a broader fertility-focused clinical assessment.
Founder of PatternMed

Dr. Colin La Grange began his master’s training at the Durban University of Technology in 1990 and later expanded his expertise in acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Chinese herbal medicine after qualifying as a Naturopath. His integrative approach to infertility—combining naturopathy, acupuncture, homeopathy, and advanced hormone diagnostics—led to the founding of LIFE CENTRE clinics in 2004. Over a decade, he treated more than 10,000 cases and contributed to over 5000 successful pregnancies. His clinical research on Ferti-boost was presented at the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), marking a significant milestone for natural medicine in reproductive care.
With over 14,000 clinical hours in reproductive health and more than 26 years of teaching experience, Dr. La Grange has developed postgraduate programs, authored over 30 international articles, and mentored practitioners in his methodology. Now based in the United States, he is the founder of the Hormone Health School and PatternMed where he teaches a structured, pattern-based approach to infertility and endocrine health. He continues research toward a PhD in medicine and toxicology while maintaining a part-time clinical practice and developing advanced educational programs.
